WP4: Data aggregation and management

WP Leader: ATB

Objectives

  1. Data processing and implementation of basic empirical models

  2. Definition and implementation of information aggregation and assessment schemes

  3. Designing, coding and testing of a modular web application

Description of content:
A key objective of ET4D is to demonstrate that by transferring environmental information from farms to different interest groups, we can increase the transparency of the milk production system and support sustainable decision making. In our DMS, we will feed the database and empirical models with project-specific data from WP2 and WP3, with continuous updates of the sensor data using the connectivity infrastructure established in WP1. The collected information will be shared with different stakeholder categories having access to different pre-defined subsets/aggregation levels of data.

Role of the partners:
ATB and AgHiTech will conceptualise and design the platform in close interaction with experts from TOGU, UZ, and AU. Sensor data processing and empirical modelling (including machine learning tasks) will be conducted at ATB and TOGU supported by UZ and AgHiTech. UZ and ATB, supported by AgHiTech, TOGU and AU and with input from EMU, MIGAL and UPWr, will work on the information assimilation. ATB will design and implement the web application in close coordination with AgHiTech who is responsible for the underlying database.

Task:

  • Platform conceptualisation
  • Sensor data processing and empirical modelling

  • Information assimilation

  • App design

Deliverables:

  • Paper draft on key feature projection approach

  • App online for testing

  • App evaluation report
