About University of Zielona Góra

The University of Zielona Góra (UZ) belongs to the elite group of 18 classical Polish universities. In the academic year 2015/2016, the University offered I, II and III-cycle programmes of study to 12,500 intramural and extramural students. In 2016 UZ celebrates the 15th anniversary of its foundation. It is worth noting that the academic community and traditions of the city go back to 1965.

UZ will in ET4D contribute with diagnosis of business and consumer behavior influencing factors. Their main task is developing a methodology for a social diagnosis regarding the information needs of selected categories of participants in the dairy supply chain about dairy products. UZ will conduct a diagnosis (quantitative and qualitative method) of the Polish supply chain of dairy products and criteria for making business/purchasing decisions, as well as quantitative and qualitative analyzes of the collected research material by other partners.

In addition, UZ will, together with the second Polish partner in ET4D, UPWR, participate in a demonstration study of a simplified version of Enviro-Detect for greenhouse gas detection, which will be installed in an appropriately selected small or medium-sized barn. Moreover, UZ will be responsible for assessing scalability in close interaction with farmers andlocal interest groups.

The UZ team will also participate in data aggregation and partial anonymization of data/information to extract key information for differentstakeholder groups from the available data and define assessment indicators. In addition, a team of mathematicians from the UZ modeling lab will participate in the evaluation of algorithms for modeling causal relationships based on selected sensor outputs. UZ will also participate in the dissemination, communication and use of project results as specified.
